An original piece for string quartet, commissioned for the 2021 Common Tone Music Festival, “Wounded Bird: She Dances” tells the story of an injured bird who keeps trying to get up to fly away. She tries and tries again, her struggle reflected in the lyrical yet rhythmic landscape of this piece.
